Amaro del Cansiglio
The liqueur “AMARO DEL CANSIGLIO” is a very pleasant product obtained from the hydroalcoholic infusion of 18 herbs and various berries from the famous forest of Cansiglio, located at the foot of the Eastern Alps, a land rich in woods and plants, already inhabited since time very ancient from peoples who knew and used the immense naturalistic riches; it is characterized by a very fragrant and persistent aroma and a round and clean taste and is produced exclusively using natural flavors and without the addition of artificial colors.

History
The Cansiglio liqueur takes its name from the area of the same name at the foot of the Eastern Alps, straddling the provinces of Treviso, Vicenza and Belluno, characterized by wooded areas that are developed and not very populated. The product was born after the Second World War and since then its (typical) recipe has been kept unchanged over time.
Product description
The Cansiglio liqueur is obtained from the infusion of berries and herbs typical of the forest, diluted with water and sugar. It is produced at a 25% alcohol content. It has a brown color and is characterized by a very fragrant and marked aroma, a round and clean taste thanks to the exclusive use of natural flavors and the absence of artificial colors.
Production process
The product is obtained from the infusion of berries and herbs in water and alcohol, which must be kept for 3-4 weeks. Then the infusion is distilled in small copper stills and mixed with water, alcohol and sugar without adding other aromas. It should be kept in special containers for about 2 months before being bottled.
Availability
Typical liqueur of the Cansiglio area, this product can be found at some specialized retailers in the provinces of Treviso, Vicenza and Belluno.
Uses
Consumed in moderate quantities, the Liqueur of Cansiglio is an excellent after meal and can be consumed as much at room temperature as it is colder, especially in the hot months.
