Guests of the Cansiglio event, from 10 to 12 September, forestry students and their social impressions. An idea born from the collaboration between Legno Servizi and Longarone Fiere Dolomiti
At the Forest Fair & Festival, to be held on the Cansiglio plateau from 10 to 12 September, the novelty will be represented by the collaboration between the Bosco-Wood System of Friuli VG and Longarone Fiere Dolomiti which will give the opportunity to host a dozen students of Ausf Italia – Confederation of University Associations of Forestry Students. Future foresters will talk live backstage and curiosity through the help of social networks: a detailed reportage of all the innovations and initiatives that will take place over the three Veneto-Friuli days.
«The training and culture of the forest-wood towards young people is essential in order to guarantee the future sustainability of our sector – comments Carlo Piemonte, president of Legno Servizi -. Collaborating with friends from Longarone we decided to host the students of Ausf Italia in the area and organize a first visit. We are working to organize another one in October, in Friuli VG, to let them discover the local forest sites and the innovations developed in our region. We must look to the future through the eyes of those who, in the coming years, will be called to develop the sector and forestry students are undoubtedly an essential element to collaborate with “.
“Europe, with its Green Deal, is increasingly attentive to environmental issues and, therefore, to wood and forests – underlines Gian Angelo Bellati, president of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti -. Therefore, we are very happy to welcome forestry students who represent the prospects of our forests who, at this moment, are sparking new interest and new job opportunities. The practical experience in Cansiglio also represents the sign of an operational and positive collaboration between the agro-forestry institutions of Veneto and Friuli VG “.
“We are particularly satisfied with the invitation addressed to us to actively participate in the Fair – adds Elisabetta Candeago, president of Ausf Italia, with 10 offices scattered throughout the Peninsula -. It is a good opportunity for me and my colleagues to tackle topics and issues of practical sense on the occasion of our XII Assembly which has as its theme environmental biodiversity, European policies and climate change. We are definitely convinced that a good forestry education is the result of the right mix between theoretical and practical didactic activity ».
