The Bardolino Film Festival will be held at Lido Mirabello in Bardolino, overlooking the waters of the Benaco, from 21 to 25 June 2023. This second edition of the festival, directed by journalist and film critic Franco Dassisti, confirms itself as an event rich in unique content in a location of unparalleled charm.
Once again this year there will be two competitions. One dedicated to documentaries and the other to short films, with a wide selection of Italian and international titles. For each of the two competitive sections, BFF Doc and BFF Short, the Best Film Prize will be awarded. The theme that will accompany the 2023 edition is In viaggio (Travelling): a way of reflecting through great cinema on itineraries that can be both physical and interior, from/to a place or within an intimate and individual journey, to discover a specific cultural/social aspect.
The festival will offer five special evenings on the lakeshore, where the films of the current film season that have best portrayed the theme of this edition will be presented. The 2023 edition will also propose the BFF Books section, dedicated to meetings with the authors of books in line with the Festival’s main theme.
