Wednesday 11 August 2021 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm – The plants of the sand
The plants that live in the sand on the beach and in the dunes must survive in a difficult ecological context, high temperature ranges, inconsistency of the substrate, scarce water availability. The laboratory aims to allow children and teenagers to discover the wonder of the adaptations of psammophilous vegetation through plant research, observation and some direct experiments.

Wednesday 18 August 2021 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm – Simulated archaeological excavation laboratory
And what happened to waste in the past? Did the man pay attention to the environment or maybe it wasn’t a problem? But what information can the waste of the past give us today? We discover these and many other things thanks to the simulation of an archaeological excavation, which we will carry out directly on the beach using the real tools and techniques of archeology.

Wednesday 25th August 2021 from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm – The marine spiral
A naturalist and an artist together will accompany the children to observe and collect materials readily available in the area. Everything will be used to create a large-scale collective Land Art work.

Wednesday 1st September 2021 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm – Life in a drop of the sea
A drop of the sea, seen under a microscope, allows you to discover a hidden world, made up of unknown living beings, wonderful crystals and, at times, traces of human pollution. After collecting a series of water samples at various points, the participants, first through the use of various optical instruments (eg lenses) and then through a microscope connected to a video projector, will be able to discover the hidden beauties of the sea.

Wednesday 8 September 2021 16: 30-18: 30 – A fish out of water After a careful study of the coastal environment and the main ecological successions, participants will be able to reconstruct part of the ecosystem in three dimensions with the use of natural materials of recovery, starting from the water up to the pine forest.

Tuesday 10th August 2021 5:00 pm-7:00pm – The sea and the myths
Afternoon walk (for families) to discover the myths of the sea through narrations and readings on the ancient myths that accompanied the history of man and his link with the sea in collaboration with the Sea Sporting PortoBaseleghe Association.

Wednesday 25 August 2021 from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm – Art footprints: the sea
Night walk to discover how artists have interpreted the sea in the history of art. In the company of a naturalist and an expert in art history between the beach and the pine forest in the dark, some more or less famous images of works of art dedicated to the sea will be projected with a portable projector and commented informally from one point of artistic and naturalistic point of view.

Wednesday 1st September 2021 from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm – The night is filled with stars
Night walk aimed at observing the starry sky between curiosities, anecdotes and stories on the main asterisms, orientation and observation techniques. (to be done in the days of the new moon).
