Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC meets Venice
The DOC from Lake Garda will be among the protagonists of the first edition of Wine in Venice from January 28 to 30, 2023
The Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC lands in the Lagoon and has chosen Venice as the setting for its first event 2023, a unique city that continues to fascinate and attract millions of Italian and foreign tourists with its allure of exclusivity.
In fact, Lugana will be among the protagonists of the first edition of Wine in Venice, an exclusive event in which Venice will become the oenological center of our country from January 28 to 30, 2023, hosting the first wine Red Carpet for a simply iconic event. The setting will be a historic and prestigious palace such as the Scuola Grande della Misericordia.
The first edition of Wine in Venice will focus on three themes chosen by the organizers (Winetales, Beacon, The Media Company, Venezia Unica), which will be the focus of dedicated round tables and talks over the three days: sustainability, innovation and ethics.
Lugana will be the protagonist of the following events:
LUGANA MASTERCLASS
Saturday, January 28 from 5 to 6 p.m.
Alberto Ugolini will lead a multisensory tasting entitled “Sensations of Lugana.”
Monday, January 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Chiara Giovoni will lead guests “Discovering Lugana” and all its countless facets.
WALK AROUND TASTING “Timeless Harmonies.”
Monday, Jan. 30 from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
On the ground floor of the Scuola Grande della Misericordia 20 producers will represent Italian regions, selected for their interpretation of the values of sustainability, innovation and ethics, to also inspire big names in the world of wine and beyond. Among them will be the Lugana DOC Consortium wineries, which will present their wines to wine professionals and wine lovers in attendance.
Lugana DOC will also be present at the Exclusive International Tasting Lounge, a multifunctional area, with controlled access, where Lugana wines will be presented and the appellation will be told.

Lugana DOC covers just five municipalities among the hills of the southern shores of Lake Garda, a true jewel region in terms of viticulture. This Mediterranean microclimate, combined with the characteristics of the native Turbiana grape variety, gives rise to a white wine that is unique in Italy for its personality, characteristics and versatility.
