Slow Wine Treviso 2023 – 5/02

Slow Food Treviso, in collaboration with the Cassamarca Foundation, and with the patronage of the Municipality of Treviso and the Veneto Regional Coordination of Slow Food, is organising the 8th edition of TREVISO SLOW WINE – SUNDAY 5 FEBRUARY.

Over 60 wine producers listed in the 2023 edition of the Slow Wine Guide will present their labels.

The new edition also boasts the important novelty of the location: Ca’ dei Carraresi. Welcoming this unique event, dedicated to Italian wine culture, will be wineries from Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Trentino and Slovenia.

Giancarlo Gariglio, editor of the Slow Wine Guide, will be present, and in an appointment he will talk about the principles and values of “The Slow Food Manifesto of good, clean and fair wine”.

This event is aimed at all wine enthusiasts: restaurateurs, delicatessens and the general public of wine lovers, who will have the opportunity to taste some of the best wines of our territory, as well as learn about the history and traditions behind them.

A journey that winds its way from Trentino Alto Adige, to Verona with the areas of Custoza, Bardolino, Valpolicella and Soave, to Vicenza and Padua with Breganze and the Berici and Euganei Hills, to Treviso with the Prosecco Hills and the Piave area, continuing through the Lands of the Plains and the Eastern Hills of Friuli, Collio, Isonzo and Carso, and ending in nearby Slovenia.

In addition, at 2.00 p.m., with prior booking, it will be possible to participate in the comparative tasting of 6 selected ‘Col Fondo’ wines, under the guidance of Patrizia Loiola, coordinator for the Veneto region of the Slow Wine Guide. Contribution: 10€.

The contribution to participate is 15€ per person, including glass and chalice holder.

Visitors under 30, if they wish, can become Slow Food members with the special fee of only 5€.

This year the proceeds of the event will finance a scholarship at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.
