Susegana. Wine Literature Festival – 6/7 May

Co(u)ltura Conegliano Valdobbiadene is the first Wine Literature Festival, an occasion for entertainment and knowledge that, through books, authors and tastings, opens wide the doors to the world of wine.

Wine is an integral part of our culture, for philosopher Roger Scruton it is the essence of western civilisation, an ancient beverage whose quality has been raised through study, experimentation and research.

Vine cultivation has forged landscapes, created local cultures, defined communities and projected Italy into the world.

During Co(u)ltura Conegliano Valdobbiadene, you will be welcomed into the marvellous San Salvatore castle in Susegana in an ideal space to delve into the many insights that the world of oenology offers to all wine enthusiasts.
The books and authors, coordinated by the director of Civiltà del bere Alessandro Torcoli, together with the producers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, have the ambition of demonstrating that wine is not just a product to be consumed, but a cultural expression in the broadest sense, a passion, effort, joy, sharing.

Two days, Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May, during which a programme of events will be developed:

Meetings with authors of wine-related publications
Tasting sessions with the producers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene
Thematic tasting masterclasses
Admission to Castello San Salvatore and the meetings with authors is free of charge.

The authors’ works are available for purchase in the Co(u)ltura Conegliano Valdobbiadene bookshop, organised by the Canova bookshop in Conegliano.
There will be a copy-signing corner at the end of each appointment.
