Saturday, Aug. 26, in Treviso, after an absence that lasts since 2019, the tenth edition of the great show dedicated to roller skating specialists is staged: on the catwalk artistic, racing and freestyle. Start at 8:30 p.m., free admission

Jumps and pirouettes, virtuosity and special choreography: Lords’ Square is preparing to host the roller skating show.

The tenth edition of “Stars Under the Stars,” an event that had garnered great acclaim before being stopped by the pandemic (the last edition was held in 2019 with a memorable crowd), is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 26, starting at 8:30 p.m. in the heart of Treviso.

It is organized by Sporting Treviso and Polisportiva Casier under the aegis of the territorial delegation of Treviso and Belluno of FISR, the Italian Federation of Rotational Sports.

A rectangular track, 40 meters long and 20 meters wide, will be placed in Piazza dei Signori, where specialists in jumps and pirouettes will perform. A show not to be missed, dedicated to figure skating. But that’s not all.

“For figure skating, it will be an evening dedicated to singles, pairs and groups,” explainsBruno Sartorato, territorial delegate for Treviso and Belluno of the FISR, these days busy defining the cast of participants. “But there will also be a space for freestyle skating and to present the Polisportiva Casier’s racing skating team, which has been collecting laurels for years at both the national and international level. In 2019 we had brought more than 1,000 people to the Piazza dei Signori. Then the pandemic stopped everything. It will be an exciting return, a great showcase for a provincial movement that, in the various specialties, has about 40 clubs and over 3,500 registered members. I thank, once again, the city administration that granted us Piazza dei Signori, the only possible setting for such an event.”

The protagonists of “Stars Under the Stars” will get acquainted with the track starting in the afternoon. At 8:15 p.m. musical prologue with a performance by the Gagno orchestra from Villorba and a parade of skaters along the Calmaggiore. In case of bad weather, the event will be made up on the evening of Sunday, August 27. Free admission, excitement guaranteed.
