Vittorio Veneto. “Cinema at the Park”, an exhibition for families and others – from 15/06 to 13/07

The Victorian summer lights up with Cinema in the Park, the open-air film festival starting on Thursday 15 June 2023 in Ceneda on the Papadopoli Park platform. This year’s programme, intended especially for families, offers titles of great interest. The event is organised in cooperation between the Municipality of Vittorio Veneto, the Pro Loco of Revine Lago and Piattaforma Lago – a network of cultural projects.

“Since its debut in 2021, the Papadopoli Park in Ceneda has consolidated a symbolic place in the city,” explains Culture Councillor Antonella Uliana, “in order to continue with the film activity that was carried out there in the past and to involve the audience of families and children who live and animate the park throughout the year. In the platform of the Papadopoli Park, adults and children alike will be able to follow a programme designed and elaborated according to the location and the associations operating at this particular location’.

The organisation of Cinema al Parco is supported by the Vittorio Veneto Library, the Municipal Summer Centres and the associations Ceneda Insieme, Le Mamme di Ceneda, (Ri)Datti Una Mossa and Comitato Festeggiamenti di Santa Augusta.

“The administration,” Uliana concludes, “wants to make Cinema in the Park and Papadopoli Park a symbolic event and place of activities for families, children and people of all ages, enhancing the magic of a place that, due to its natural setting, can be enjoyed both during the day and in the evening”.

The programme runs over five consecutive Thursdays, at 9 p.m. The films are mainly products for children, but are also suitable for an adult audience, due to the themes dealt with and the important productions. Admission costs EUR 3.

The selection aimed at adults and children (with a special screening for children on 29 June) includes great classics, restored gems, and the successes of recent years, also thanks to the collaboration with the Cineteca di Bologna.

The theme of space will accompany spectators for two evenings, who, thanks to “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” and “WALL-E”, will find themselves looking at the sky with a different gaze – a theme in collaboration with the Municipal Summer Centres.

In the event of bad weather, the screening will take place at the Civic Library.
