Cison di Valmarino, for centuries the small capital of the Brandolini county, is an important road junction halfway between Valdobbiadene and Vittorio Veneto. The area enjoys a mild climate. The beauty of the foothills landscape and the perfect preservation of the ancient villages give tourists a relaxing stay in the name of culture, good food and connoisseurs drinking. In the Valmareno valley you can make splendid excursions of great historical-artistic-naturalistic interest: from the “Via dell’acqua” to the “Via dei mulini” to the “Valle di S. The whole area offers beautiful spaces for horseback riding or mountain biking.
The Brandolini Castle, symbol of the town, together with a large number of noble palaces, distinguish Cison from the rest of the valley. The Castle is located on a spur of Mount Col de Moi and dominates the valley from a strategic and highly suggestive position. The fortified structure contains a large residential complex inside, with extensions that were made in the 1500s and 1700s. The castle, renamed “Castelbrando”, is now one of the largest and most functional in Italy and houses a hotel, a restaurant, halls for conferences, concerts and events. The imposing building is made up of various buildings that differ in age and characteristics. While the castle overlooks the town, the Archpriest Church dominates the town’s central square and its noble eighteenth-century architecture is embellished with nineteenth-century statues. Inside is the marble Mausoleum of Guido Brandolini.

Vintage Radio Museum – The Museum is housed inside the “La Loggia” Theater (Piazza Roma, 9). The exhibition covers a period of time ranging from 1920 to the 1970s. The devices on display constitute an exhaustive overview of the technical and stylistic development of the radio object, without however neglecting the socio-cultural significance that this medium has constituted. Opening hours: Saturday, from 15.00 to 19.00 – Sunday, from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 19.00 (winter from 14.30 to 18.30) Il Bosco delle Penne Mozze – Inaugurated in 1972, the Bosco delle “Penne Mozze ”is located in a panoramic position in Cison di Valmarino. The wood collects the steles of the Trevigiani Alpini who fell in war or died due to service. The Bosco delle Penne Mozze is a pilgrimage destination for Alpine troops from all over Italy and their families. “Claudia Augusta Altinate” – The Praderadego pass is an ancient passage that already in ancient times connected the vallis mareni with the Belluno area, rich in wood, essential for the Republic of Venice.
