Ponte di Piave (Treviso), June 18, 2025 – Running to raise awareness among the male population on urological diseases. After many pink events, a race in… blue is also coming to the Marca: dedicated to men, but also open to women.
The 1st Solstice Race – Ponte in Blue will debut the day after tomorrow, Friday June 20, in Ponte di Piave. Participation is open to all and registrations will be possible up until a few minutes before the start, scheduled for 7:30 pm from the square of the Cantina Viticoltori Ponte, in via Verdi 50.
There are two routes: one of 4.5 and the other of 9 kilometers. The itineraries, very suggestive, will develop along the course of the Piave. The event is organized by the Cantina Viticoltori Ponte with the patronage of the Municipality of Ponte di Piave and the collaboration of the Nuova Atletica Tre Comuni and the Pro Loco of Ponte di Piave.
“Seeing the success of the women’s races, we said to ourselves: why, for once, don’t we also think about men’s health issues? – explains Luigi Vanzella, director of the Cantina Viticoltori Ponte -. We men, by habit and culture, are less inclined than women to think in terms of disease prevention. Here: Ponte in Blue wants to raise awareness among the male population on these issues. It was a choice shared with our Board of Directors and which goes in the direction of an ever greater opening of the Cantina to the reality of the territory. We started thinking about it a year ago, involving the municipal administration, the Nuova Atletica Tre Comuni and the Pro Loco of Ponte di Piave. The response from enthusiasts is positive, for the debut edition we could reach a thousand participants, the important thing is that the message launched by the race reaches as many people as possible”.
Running and more: after completing the two routes, a rich Pasta Party awaits runners and walkers in the Cantina square. To follow, a DJ set with Riccardo Furlan (dj Furly).
