Feminine art takes center stage at the Park Hotel Franceschi until June 24, in a dialogue with Arredamont
Cortina d’Ampezzo, June 5, 2026 – The 11th edition of Woman Art Expo, the traveling art exhibition dedicated to women, opened yesterday, June 4, at the Park Hotel Franceschi. It will be open in Cortina until June 24.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Centro Studi Veneto Arte in Treviso and Arte Fiera Dolomiti, and represents a significant preview of the cultural journey that will find its full expression at Arredamont, the historic event organized by Longarone Fiere Dolomiti dedicated to the mountains, wood, and artisanal know-how.
The connection with Arredamont is one of the project’s distinctive elements: a consolidated synergy that for over twenty years has promoted the dialogue between art and craftsmanship, enhancing a cultural heritage capable of narrating the Dolomites through contemporary languages.
In this context, Cortina d’Ampezzo confirms its position as a privileged international showcase, hosting a multidisciplinary exhibition that spans photography, painting, engraving, weaving, mosaics, and design, offering a contemporary and transversal reinterpretation of the feminine universe.
“Woman Art Expo is intended to be a tribute to women and the feminine aspect,” emphasizes Franco Fonzo, artistic director of Arte Fiera Dolomiti and curator of the exhibition, “but it is not limited to the representation of the female figure. The aim is to also offer space to artists working in abstract art, thus expanding the expressive possibilities associated with this theme.”
The dialogue with Arredamont also emerges in terms of content: the boundary between art and craftsmanship is becoming increasingly blurred, finding one of its most authentic expressions in the know-how of master woodworkers and in Alpine tradition, in line with the concept of Ars.
“Woman Art Expo also represents an important preview of Arte Fiera Dolomiti’s activities within Arredamont,” Fonzo continues, “where every year artists are given space in a context that celebrates the tradition of wood, the mountains, and artisanal know-how—elements that are now more important than ever to rediscover and preserve.”
“It is a great pleasure to once again inaugurate this exhibition in the splendid setting of the Park Hotel Franceschi, a historic establishment with a particular focus on cultural initiatives,” Fonzo adds. “Woman Art Expo is an exhibition dedicated to women, but in which artists are free to express themselves, while maintaining the central theme of women.”
After the Cortina stage, the exhibition will continue its journey in September at the Venice Lido, coinciding with the Venice International Film Festival and in dialogue with the Biennale, before concluding in Treviso in October. The project will also be enriched by collateral events, including a concert at the Lido dedicated to women, against the evocative backdrop of the lagoon at sunset.
Through this itinerary, Woman Art Expo confirms itself not only as an art exhibition, but as an integral part of a broader cultural system that finds its ideal partner in Arredamont and Longarone Fiere Dolomiti.
The exhibition is open to the public at the Park Hotel Franceschi in Cortina d’Ampezzo until June 24.
