The second edition of the “Specialized Technician in Food and Wine Tourism” course, organized by British Consulting of Treviso, has been a resounding success. It’s a unique opportunity for those seeking new career opportunities, with a special focus on the unemployed in Veneto, starting December 3rd. Following the success of the first edition, the course is being renewed, offering the opportunity to participate in a 120-hour training program free of charge.
The course is designed for those wishing to acquire the skills needed to promote and enhance food and wine tourism, one of the fastest-growing sectors, particularly in Veneto, one of the regions most renowned for its culinary and winemaking traditions. The program includes topics such as:
- Developing strategies to enhance local resources
- Planning food and wine itineraries
- Organizing food-related events
- Learning professional English to enter the international market
The goal of the course is to train professionals capable of creating, managing, and promoting engaging and original food and wine tourism experiences that attract tourists by showcasing the region’s culinary and wine heritage. Veneto, with its fine wines, cheeses, and traditional products, is one of Italy’s most sought-after destinations, thanks to the quality of its resources and its protected geographical indications.
The 2025 Italian Food and Wine Tourism Report, edited by Professor Roberta Garibaldi, confirms the growing trend among tourists to travel to discover culinary and winemaking traditions, with an increase of between 15% and 28% since 2016 in the share of tourists choosing Italy for its food and wine offerings. In this scenario, Veneto has enormous potential to expand and diversify its tourism offerings.
With this new edition of the course, British Consulting aims to be a point of reference for those wishing to enter the food and wine tourism sector, a sector rich in career opportunities and increasingly in demand.
