Treviso Carnival, Three Days of Celebration in the City

Weekend of shows in the historic city center ahead of the grand Mardi Gras parade, which will feature twenty floats and masked groups. The procession will start at 2:00 PM from Piazza Duomo and will arrive at Piazzale Burchiellati and Borgo Mazzini after a 1.5-kilometer route. Live broadcast on Antenna Tre.

Treviso, February 12, 2026 – Is this where the party is? Of course it is. On Saturday 14, Sunday 15, and Tuesday 17 February, Treviso becomes the city of Carnival, the spectacular setting for a three-day celebration that, in a burst of music and masks, confetti and streamers, will delight both young and old.

As tradition dictates, the capital of the Marca region is preparing to welcome the parade of allegorical floats that, on Mardi Gras afternoon, will wind its way through the city center. Not only that: the final Carnival weekend will feature a long series of family-friendly events, with special attention given to children. The creativity and imagination of street performers will transform the city into an open-air stage, a realm of fun and fantasy. Two days to be experienced with open hearts, filled with games, street art, and small moments of enchantment.

“Carnival is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year for our city and, as mayor, it is also one of the moments I experience with the greatest emotion. Seeing the historic center filled with families, children in costume, associations and volunteers is the finest sign of a vibrant and united community. The parade represents the heart of the celebration, an occasion of joy and togetherness that each year manages to surprise and renew everyone’s enthusiasm. I would like to thank in advance all the volunteers, operators, and law enforcement officers involved. Events like this can only succeed thanks to thorough organization,” said Mayor Mario Conte during the official presentation of the three-day event held this morning at City Hall.

The Mardi Gras afternoon parade will include twenty allegorical floats and groups. Leading the procession will be the Majorettes Blu Bell. Then, as customary, the Gruppo Folkloristico Trevigiano with the traditional King Carnival. Following them: the dance school Energia in Movimento of Nervesa della Battaglia (“Disney World”); the Pro Loco of Sant’Angelo di Treviso (“Uncle Scrooge and the Treasure That Doesn’t Shine”); the Simpatia group of Musestre (“Fasten Your Seatbelts… The Fun Is About to Begin”); the cultural association “Yo Soy Dominicano Aquí y Allá” from the Dominican Republic (“Quisqueya”); the Gang del Crepaldo (“The Magic of the Farm”); Contrada Santa Lucia of Castagnole (“The Kingdom of Shadows”); the Friends of Carnival of Falzè (“Landing in the East”); the Giovani San Giuseppe group of Treviso (“Lilo & Stitch”); the Sanvecarri association (“Me with Mario, You with Bowser!”); the Selva del Montello Carnival Committee (“101 Dalmatians”); the Pro Loco of Trevignano – CarnevaleInsieme Signoressa Group (“Paw Patrol”); L’Allegra Compagnia of Porcellengo (“25 Springs”); the Friends of Merlengo (“Blessedly Damned”); the ’80s Kids (“Raga 80 in Flight”); the Coriandolando group for Pieve di Soligo (“The Lion King”); the Allegria group of Maserada (“A Sea of Ideas”); the Giovani group of Santa Maria di Sala (“Wings of Victory”); the Friends of Carnival of Roncade (“The Dancing Tribe”); and the Friends of Isiata association (“Worlds in Comparison”). A curiosity: in the “Yo Soy Dominicano Aquí y Allá” group, the Dominican Ambassador to Italy, Rafael Lantigua Ciriaco, and the Dominican Consul in Milan, Miguel Ángel Vásquez Peña, will also take part in the parade.

The route of the floats will be the same as in 2025: the procession will depart at 2:00 PM from Piazza Duomo, continue along Via Canova, pass through Borgo Cavour, and follow the city walls until reaching the spacious Piazzale Burchiellati, where the judges’ stage will be set up. The dismantling area for the floats will be located between the square and Borgo Mazzini. A panel of expert judges, made up of professionals from Treviso with specific expertise in art and entertainment, will award the best float and the best choreography.

To allow for the preparation and staging of the parade, access to the city from Viale Cesare Battisti will be closed starting at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17. Additional traffic and parking restrictions will be defined in the coming days to ensure a safe Mardi Gras parade. The parade of allegorical floats will be broadcast live on Antenna Tre. The Carnevali di Marca association, chaired by Redo Bezzo, has been working for some time in collaboration with municipal offices and the Treviso Local Police to deliver an event that promises excitement and fun for all ages.

While Mardi Gras has always been the final and most eagerly awaited moment of the Treviso Carnival, the festive atmosphere will, as mentioned, fill the city from the weekend onward. On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 February (Ecological Sunday), a long series of events will take place in the squares of the historic center. On Saturday 14 February, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM in Piazzetta Aldo Moro, a circus trio and a storyteller will take turns performing juggling, balancing acts, and music, weaving together stories, smiles, and wonder for young and old alike. At the Sant’Andrea Gardens, a set of “old-fashioned” wooden games will invite everyone to slow down, share, and play together, just like in the past.

On Sunday 15 February, while two fauns from a distant magical world stroll through the city streets, surprising passersby and curious onlookers, there will again be wooden games at the Sant’Andrea Gardens (from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and afternoon shows (from 3:00 to 5:00 PM) in Piazzetta Aldo Moro, featuring circus acts, juggling, and balancing, accompanied by music and storytelling, for a day ending in music and wonder.

For Carnevali di Marca, this will also mark the conclusion of the 2026 edition which, through 21 parades and six family events, involves around one hundred floats and masked groups overall and approximately 9,000 participants. Updates on the Carnevali di Marca parades can be found on the website www.carnevalidimarca.it, on the association’s social media channels and, for Treviso events, on the “Carnevale Trevigiano” social media page.
