Agrimont holds strong with 20,000 visitors, now Longarone Fiere prepares for Hunting, Fishing and Nature

Despite the general difficulties of the current period and the lack of incentives currently available for the sector, Agrimont closes with 20,000 visitors, demonstrating that mountain agriculture and the forestry sector are very much at home in Longarone.

Visitors to Agrimont 2026 came not only from Veneto, but largely from neighboring regions as well: leading the way was Friuli Venezia Giulia, with significant attendance also from Trentino-Alto Adige, Emilia-Romagna, and Lombardy.

What attracted the public to Agrimont were above all the commercial offerings, with a wide exhibition of products and services for gardening, vegetable plots, and green spaces, as well as a rich program of conferences and in-depth sessions. More than forty events were scheduled, catering to all types of audiences, from industry professionals to hobbyists.

Bringing the event to a close on Sunday, March 22, was the now traditional European Artisan Gelato Day, which reached its 14th edition. A total of 1,200 tastings were offered to visitors, served in cups or by the spoon, giving Agrimont attendees the chance to try unique gelato flavors enriched with typically forest essences such as Austrian black pine, mountain pine, larch, Swiss pine, and Scots pine. Supporting the initiative alongside Longarone Fiere Dolomiti were the Veneto Region and Venicepromex, the GELATOn the ROAD project, and the Life Vaia project with its “Honey of Rebirth.” Important collaborations also included Bellunesi nel Mondo, the Association of Professional Gelato Trainers, the DMO Dolomiti Bellunesi Foundation, and the National Research Council, with Italy’s first neurogastronomy research group, which presented an innovative silver fir extract used to create a freshly made “Wellness Gelato” by the Pro Loco of Longarone’s gelato stand.

READY FOR THE 24th HUNTING, FISHING AND NATURE FAIR

With Agrimont now concluded, Longarone Fiere Dolomiti is already working on the next event, scheduled immediately after Easter. The 24th edition of Hunting, Fishing and Nature will take place on April 17–18–19, 2026. In addition to gun shops, numerous international exhibitors will be present, offering a full range of products, accessories, and technical clothing. The event will also feature nature exhibitions, collectibles, hunting associations, and the latest industry developments. It will serve as a true meeting point, with a pavilion dedicated to the 29th Hunter’s Festival, demonstrations in artificial dens by Deutsche Jagdterriers, and the 22nd National Open Taxidermy Competition.

New for this edition is the participation of the Italian Truffle Hunters Association, which will offer a series of demonstrations and the opportunity to test your dog at the fair. There will also be plenty for fishing and outdoor enthusiasts, including Saturday competitions on the Maè stream and the free Sunday event for families, “Fishing with Mom and Dad,” open to children under 14 and people with disabilities.

“Hunting, Fishing and Nature” 2026 will open on Friday, April 17 at 2:30 p.m., while on Saturday and Sunday opening time is 9:00 a.m. Closing time, as usual, will be 7:00 p.m. on all three days.
