The event in the Prosecco hills doubles: four distances (21.097, 19, 8, and 5 km) with start and finish in the center of Conegliano. A timed challenge on the iconic climb of San Pietro di Feletto (1 km). Registration is now open.
Conegliano (Treviso), August 6, 2025 – A half marathon in the heart of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG hills, captivated by the colors and flavors of autumn. After the success of the first two editions (over 2,000 participants in 2024), the Ca’ del Poggio Run is doubling its size, increasing the number of events from two to four for runners and walkers to choose from and, most importantly, introducing a race over the classic 21.097 km distance.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, October 19th. The start and finish, for all distances, will be in the center of Conegliano. Among the highlights this year, once again, is the ride up the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio, a symbolic climb in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, which received UNESCO World Heritage recognition on July 7, 2019.
For cycling enthusiasts, it’s the quintessential pink climb: a 1km climb through vineyards, with an average gradient of 12.7% and peaks of 19%, which has triumphantly graced the Giro d’Italia eight times (most recently last May).
Many cycling races choose to ride up the iconic San Pietro di Feletto climb every season. For two years, the famous Wall among the vineyards has also accompanied the growth of the Ca’ del Poggio Run, an event born from the initiative of seven local teams (Fuel to Run, E20Run, Cimavilla Running Team, G.P. La Piave, Running Team Conegliano, Scuola di Maratona Vittorio Veneto, and Amici di Lutrano). Last year, they joined together under the CdPR Asd, an association of which Alberto Stocco—the driving force behind Ca’ del Poggio, along with his brother Marco and family—has been named honorary president.

In addition to the traditional 19km and 8km races, the 2025 edition of the Ca’ del Poggio Run will include a half marathon (competitive) and a 5km race open to all. This latter route, entirely on asphalt, will be accessible to strollers and wheelchairs, and will be complemented by the 8km course, which has been completely redesigned compared to last year.
The routes will run through the municipalities of Conegliano, Vittorio Veneto, and San Pietro di Feletto, passing through public roads and private properties made available by the owners. Only the two longest races, however, will pass over the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio. Here, in the case of the half marathon, athletes will encounter a timed uphill section just under a kilometer long, concluding near the Ca’ del Poggio restaurant. A challenge within a challenge, which will crown the best climbers of the day.
Online registration (mandatory for the half marathon) is available on the Registration page of www.cadelpoggiorun.it or at the participating locations: Sportway (Viale Venezia 55, Conegliano, tel. 0438-455227), Joy Club (Via Italia 141, San Vendemiano, tel. 0438-411610), Stazione Energyca Bagnolo (Via Cervano 59, San Pietro di Feletto), and Stazione Energyca Francenigo (Via per Brugnera 10, Gaiarine).
The Ca’ del Poggio Run was created with the aim of promoting the local area through the values of sport, friendship between sports clubs, and collaboration with local organizations and businesses. Local food and wine companies and the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG wineries are also involved, offering refreshment points with traditional, high-quality products.
For the occasion, participants will also be able to sample the cuisine of Ca’ del Poggio: special refreshments await them both on the Wall and after crossing the finish line. And the medal for all finishers will, as always, be absolutely special: a glass to wear around their neck. A tribute to a unique territory, which for one day—October 19th—will be colored by the passion of thousands upon thousands of runners. To learn more: www.cadelpoggiorun.it.
