Yesterday evening in San Vendemiano, in the traditional closing gala of the season, the drawing of the tickets combined with the thirty prizes up for grabs. President Redo Bezzo: “Memorable edition”. Special donation to three local associations
Carnevali di Marca archives a record edition. Yesterday evening, in San Vendemiano, with the traditional closing gala, the curtain fell on the event organized by the association chaired by Redo Bezzo.
The numbers? Twenty-one parades (with the only cancellation, due to bad weather, of the Ponte della Muda parade), seven events for families. An overall attendance of spectators estimated at 280 thousand people, without forgetting the success of the live broadcasts on Antenna Tre (for Treviso) and VenetoGlobe (for Conegliano).
“It was a memorable edition, but also very demanding – comments Bezzo -. The costs have increased and the organizational effort has also increased considerably. I thank the groups, associations, schools and Pro Loco who have worked for months to create floats and costumes. Thanks to the support of many, we are able to keep the Carnival tradition alive in the province, offering increasingly curated, engaging and safely organized shows. I thank everyone, it is a great team effort”. Almost 400 people attended the “Giovanni Paolo II” oratory in San Vendemiano to celebrate the last act of the Carnevali di Marca season. Applauded were the representatives of the municipal administrations, the sponsors, the almost 90 floats and groups that, in the time span between the opening parade in Tarzo and the closing ones in Treviso and Conegliano (with the appendix of the recovery of Carbonera, last Sunday), fielded over 8,500 participants, in a blaze of confetti, streamers and so much happiness. Among those who attended the evening of San Vendemiano were also the deputy Gianangelo Bof and the regional councilor Roberto Bet, who underlined the social value and the originality of the proposal of Carnevali di Marca.

As usual, the San Vendemiano gala also offered the moment of the drawing of the winning tickets of the charity lottery connected to the season of Carnevali di Marca: over twenty-six thousand tickets were sold during the parades. The total prize pool, worth 25 thousand euros, with the first prize being a Peugeot 208 Style provided by Sarlo Group-Autogiada and other awards in the form of vouchers to spend at Toffolatti Gioielli stores and Maxì and Spak supermarkets, was distributed among the thirty tickets drawn during the evening. For each ticket sold, 10 cents were also donated to local associations involved in social activities. The contribution – 1000 euros each – went this year to the Comunità Casa Mater Dei of Vittorio Veneto, to the association “Fabrizio Viezzer” ODV of Farra di Soligo and to the association “Amici di Diego Onlus” of Conegliano. Carnevali di Marca is also solidarity.
