“Carpenè Malvolti” Degree Award

The initiative is promoted by the Association that embraces the country’s longest-running brands and is included in the program of events of “Parma Italian Capital of Culture 2020 + 21”

A graduation award funded by the historic Carpenè Malvolti Sparkling Wine Company of Conegliano, to be awarded to students of the University of Parma. It is the initiative promoted within the celebrations of Parma Italian Capital of Culture 2020 + 21 by the Italian Centenary Business Union, an association that brings together the longest-established companies of excellence of Made in Italy.

The “Carpenè Malvolti” Degree Award, organized in collaboration with the University of Parma and with the patronage of the Municipality of Parma, focuses on the theme “Centennial Enterprises as Italian Cultural Heritage”; a theme that wants to highlight the fundamental role of those companies that have intertwined their secular history – both from a production point of view and through social and cultural dynamics – with that of our country.

“We believe that especially at this time it is important to disseminate to the new generations the intangible values of which our companies are depositories and thanks to which, century after century, they have been able to overcome many difficulties” says Eugenio Alphandery, president of the Italian Centenary Enterprises Union.

“The establishment of a Degree Award, aimed at students of the University of Parma who have distinguished themselves for the excellence of their training – comments Rosanna Carpenè, fifth generation of Carpenè Malvolti – is a determination consistent with the commitment that our company has always been profound in favor of the new generations. This opportunity, offered to us by the Italian Centenary Companies Union of which we privilege to be part, is a further important attestation of esteem for the entrepreneurial history of our country and at the same time a tribute to our founder Antonio Carpenè who, first as early as 1876, believed in this mission by founding the first Italian Wine School still virtuously operating today in Conegliano ”.

The award ceremony of the “Carpenè Malvolti” Degree Award will be held on Saturday 20 November 2021 in the Aula Magna of the University of Parma. On the same day, the Centum Award will be awarded, a recognition promoted by the Italian Centenary Business Union, again within the program of events in Parma, the Italian Capital of Culture 2020 + 21.
