Ca’ del Poggio, Andrea Vendrame celebrates 30 years on the wall

The cyclist from Treviso celebrated his birthday at Ca ‘del Poggio where he had passed as a protagonist on the occasion of the last passage of the Giro d’ Italia

San Pietro di Feletto (TV), 21 July 2024 – A toast to the Wall, which welcomed him triumphantly on 25 May, in the penultimate stage of the 107th edition of the Giro d’Italia. And, above all, a toast to him, who chose Ca ‘del Poggio to celebrate – yesterday, Saturday 20 July – his thirtieth birthday.

Thirty years of Ca’ del Poggio, celebrated triumphantly on the occasion of the seventh passage of the Corsa Rosa, with the backdrop of the fifteen thousand who accompanied the transit of the runners, and thirty years of Andrea Vendrame, the popular Joker, who is almost at home on the Wall thanks to the long friendship with the Stocco family.

The Decathlon AG2R cyclist from Treviso, during the stage of the Giro, had triumphantly climbed the Wall: the previous day, with a breakaway of almost 100 km, of which the last 28 were alone, he had won the 19th stage of the Corsa Rosa, the Mortegliano-Sappada, 157 km, with 2850 meters of altitude difference, all in Friuli.

They defined it as the Joker’s coup and the following day Vendrame collected the deserved tribute on the Wall: a memorable feat, the Friulian one, celebrated on the symbolic climb of the Prosecco hills, among its most loyal fans. A perfect direction, on the day that once again colored the Wall pink.

Looking to the near future, the countdown has begun for Vendrame towards the events of the second part of the season, with a focus on Lombardy, the “Classica of the Dead Leaves”. Meanwhile, happy birthday Andrea!
