Le Manzane, from the heroic vineyards of Cartizze comes the new Springo Gold

From Conegliano to Valdobbiadene: Treviso winery debuts at Vinitaly with Prosecco Superiore grand cru

His grapes grow strong and healthy in the most inaccessible areas of Valdobbiadene, in a narrow hilly area of just 108 hectares called the pentagon of gold. And Springo Gold, in fact, is the name of the new Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze Docg that Ernesto, Silvana, Marco and Anna will present, for the first time, at the upcoming Vinitaly (Verona, April 2-5). Springo, the most prestigious line of the Le Manzane winery, is thus enriched with a new sparkling wine, produced in a limited edition.

In the Treviso estate’s interpretation, Cartizze is dry. “The southern exposure of the hill and the constant ventilation allow for grapes with a higher sugar level, which is why we decided to produce it in this version,” explains Ernesto Balbinot, owner of the Le Manzane winery.

This small and exclusive area in the municipality of Valdobbiadene is recognized as the qualitative pinnacle of the Prosecco Superiore Docg appellation thanks to a unique microclimate, mineral-rich soil, natural drainage of superfluous water and a temperature range that gives the grapes a rich and intense aromatic complement.

There are 5,500 bottles of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze Docg Springo Gold Dry produced, all numbered. The sparkling wine can already be reserved and will also be available for purchase in the Le Manzane winery’s online wine shop starting in April (https://www.lemanzane.com/shop).

In addition, at Hall 4 – Stand F7 at Vinitaly, the Trevi estate will organize blind tastings. To reserve your spot, write to wineshop@lemanzane.it.

Springo Gold has a brilliant straw yellow color. Intense, fine and persistent perlage. Complex on the nose where the protagonists are hints of wisteria, green apple, pear, peach, apricot and notes of tropical fruits. This particularity comes from the soil rich in minerals of marine origin that distinguishes the famous golden pentagon of Prosecco Superiore. In the mouth it has a rich, full and consistent flavor. Elegant and harmonious. A unique and exclusive sensory experience. Superiore di Cartizze pairs perfectly with desserts, such as panettone, cream puffs and hazelnut macarons. Surprising with delicate first courses.

The Le Manzane winery is located in San Pietro di Feletto, halfway between the Dolomites and Venice, in the hilly strip of the province of Treviso, in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore Hills, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 7, 2019. The family-run winery is strongly rooted in the Treviso area as a producer for nearly 40 years. The winery, among the most dynamic and interesting in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine scene, distributes both in Italy and abroad, reaching 36 countries.
