MIG Meets with Disaronno Ingredients Group in Longarone

In recent days, the leaders of the 65th MIG – International Artisan Gelato Exhibition (November 30-December 3) met in Longarone with Marco Casol, CEO of Disaronno Ingredients, and Claudio Grigoletto, CEO of DIS, the distribution organization of Disaronno Ingredients, which comprises three companies and nine warehouses in Northern Italy with a nationwide development strategy.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss several issues directly affecting the artisan gelato sector, starting with the need to create new training and career opportunities to foster young people’s interest in this industry. The topic of gelato in the restaurant industry was also addressed, with Longarone Fiere’s decision to include a dedicated area within its Horeca event (October 5-7, 2025), aimed at restaurateurs and hoteliers—with a view to the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics—in which Disaronno Ingredients and DIS have expressed interest.

Marco Casol, in particular, recalling how MIG represents today more than ever the common thread connecting the great tradition of artisanal gelato to the future developments of a dynamic and ever-evolving sector, urged the organizers to look more than ever to the future and the evolution characterizing the world of traditional gelato.

In this regard, the initiatives planned for the 65th MIG were appreciated.

Giovanni De Lorenzi, CEO of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, thanked the two major industry leaders for their continued participation in MIG 2025. This also represents a significant confirmation of the Fair’s commitment: certainly in line with their recommendations and oriented in the best direction to support the entire artisanal gelato supply chain.
