Primavera del Prosecco Superiore, the Notte Bianca del Gusto to end the festival

In Conegliano the Grand Gala of the food and wine event and the awards ceremony of the Fascetta d’Oro wine competition to mark the 4th anniversary of the nomination of the Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A Conegliano Valdobbiadene summer classic returns: Friday 7 July will see Conegliano host the Notte Bianca del Gusto, the concluding celebration of the XXVIII edition of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore.

Starting at 19.00 in Conegliano, the central Piazza Cima will be the setting for an evening that will talk about wines, typicality and the culture of the territory.

The programme will be opened by the Gran Gala della Primavera del Prosecco Superiore (by invitation only) with the prize-giving ceremony for the 9th edition of the Fascetta d’Oro Wine Competition, the first and only national competition dedicated to Conegliano Valdobbiadene and its wine-growing excellence, set up by the UNPLI Treviso Provincial Committee as the body officially authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, in agreement with the Association of Italian Oenologists (Assoenologi). Competing to win the Gran Fascetta d’Oro, there will be over 200 of the best labels presented for tasting in the 17 Wine Exhibitions of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore.

For the first time, moreover, the “UNESCO” PREMIO “Colline del Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene” (Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene) Prize will be awarded, in collaboration with the Association for the Heritage of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, mentioning “Rive”, that has obtained the highest score.

The highlight of the evening will be the celebrations for the 4th anniversary of the nomination of the Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which will officially kick off the Notte Bianca del Gusto (open to all), a veritable culinary journey through local flavours: the winning wines and cheeses of Latteria Soligo, the spit prepared by the Gruppo Alpini di Ogliano, the Prosecco Risotto of Osteria Cima, the Prosecco ice cream (with a non-alcoholic variation for children) of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti in collaboration with Contaminazioni Stellate, and the coffee of Caffè Teatro.

And, as in any self-respecting birthday, there will be no lack of cake for the 4th anniversary of the designation of the Hills as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by Ortensia Isola Pâtisserie
