Prosecco Spring: Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene will open the 2024 event

Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, March 16 to 26.

Once again, it will be the hamlet of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene to officially open the Primavera del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco, the cultural and gastronomic itinerary that, from March 16 to June 9, will tell the story of the Alta Marca, its small villages, the vineyards that decorate the slopes and the industrious wineries that have made the area’s wine famous.

Now in its XXIXth edition, the event aims to let the public experience the true essence of the hills where the world’s best-known bubbles are born: the territory of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg.

Backbone of the festival are the 16 Wine Exhibitions that are part of the tradition of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG territory. They were born, in fact, more than 50 years ago with only one purpose: to enhance and promote the typical products, becoming, year after year, an unmissable food and wine event that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the culture and food and wine of an area that has entered the Unesco World Heritage List.

And, as per tradition, from March 16 to 26, it will be the 54th Mostra del Cartizze e Valdobbiadene DOCG Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene to hold the christening of the new edition of the event that will celebrate the return of Spring.

The traditional Wine Exhibition will be accompanied by moments of intense beauty with educational walks in the hills, shaped over the centuries by peasant wisdom.

A small novelty of this edition will be the creative workshops at the courtyard of the “S. Cuore” nursery school: on Sunday, March 17, at 2:30 p.m., one can have fun with “Kokedama…do it yourself…” in which everyone can create their own kokedama, a simplified version of the bonsai, composed of a sphere of earth (Dama) covered with moss (Koke) enclosing roots or seeds. On Sunday, March 24, also at 2:30 p.m., you can take part in the workshop “Let’s Discover Wild Herbs… with Sofia,” a meeting that will provide valuable pointers for those who love to collect with their own hands what nature gives in spring.

At the exhibition venue, in addition to excellent DOCG wine, there will be tasty events such as, for example, spit-roasting, the traditional dish, and many convivial moments.
