The tour of Lake Alleghe: an easy walk in the Dolomites

In the heart of the village of Alleghe, in the Agordo area, surrounded by the Dolomites, there is the majestic lake of Alleghe, which can be circumnavigated thanks to a simple but suggestive route. We propose one version of the many trails that can be held around the lake, lasting about two hours.

Start from Piazza Kennedy and continue along via Monte Pape, until you reach the lake: from here you reach the area of Rusech, where there is a garden that also serves as a refreshment point. Continue towards the locality of Masarè, pass the bridge over the river Cordevole and turn right, then you reach the other side of the lake. Head towards the “Chalet al Lago” and enter the nature trail, in the woods; then continue to a staircase that leads to a suspension bridge. After the bridge, you reach the area of Vallazza, where there is a play area for children. From here, follow the sidewalk and return to the picturesque village of Alleghe. A small curiosity to note: the lake, if seen from above, has the particular shape of a dinosaur.
