Theresianer Bock on the podium of the 10th edition of the Cerevisia Prize

The winners of the Cerevisia Award, a national competition now in its tenth edition created to promote the production, trade and consumption of quality Italian beers, have been announced.

Earning the top step of the podium in the “Bock and Sub-Styles” category was the beer that most convinced the jury for its typicality, pleasantness and correspondence to the beer style it belongs to: Theresianer Bock.

Born in “Italy’s smallest brewery”, this beer makes use of the skill of the best master brewers and selected ingredients: malt, hops, yeast and water are the elements that make it the perfect representative of the German style that gives it its name. The quintessential red ale with hints of liquorice, spices and ripe plum has a characteristic aftertaste and aroma of roasted malt.

Organised by the Banco Nazionale di Assaggio delle Birre (BaNAB), the Cerevisia Award was created in 2013 and is distinguished by its scientific value, which inspires a rigorous evaluation and selection process, by the competence of the National Tasting Jury, as well as by its institutional character, a guarantee of authority and transparency.

The prize won by Bock joins other prestigious international awards and testifies to Theresianer’s quality and commitment to the selection of excellent raw materials and production methods that result in award-winning beers that are appreciated in Italy and around the world.
