The 900 available race-bibs have been sold out, the organisation is exceptionally making another 100 available. In the meantime, registrations for the Transpelmo Junior Run have started.
The 2023 edition of Transpelmo, the skyrace that offers a unique experience in the unique environment of the core zone number 1 of the Unesco World Heritage Dolomites, crossing the imposing and spectacular massif of Monte Pelmo (3,168 metres above sea level), is sold out. The event, which will take place on Sunday 3 September in Val di Zoldo (Belluno), had 900 bibs available. Over the past few days, the maximum limit set by the organisation has been reached, well in advance of the closing date for entries, scheduled for 31 August.
“This fills us with pride and satisfaction. Having filled up the number of registrations means that Transpelmo is a popular event and this is a further incentive to continue to improve all the details to ensure that participants have an unforgettable experience,” commented Andrea Cero and Eris Costa, coordinators of the organising staff. “The fact that the event sold out so many weeks in advance prompted us to make available, on an exceptional basis, another 100 bibs, thus bringing the maximum number of competitors to one thousand. We can do no more because logistical and safety requirements, in part
in those complicated sections such as Forcella Val d’Arcia, impose a limit on participation: we want to offer our competitors the best”.
As mentioned, Transpelmo will take place on Sunday, 3 September, on the new route tested last year (start and arrival fixed in the village of Pécol): 19.5 kilometres of development, for 1,450 metres of positive altitude difference. It should be noted that the Val di Zoldo event will be the Italian final of the Golden Trail National Series by Salomon circuit.
On the same day, the fourth edition of Transpelmo Junior Run, the event dedicated to children, will take place. The event is aimed at the under-12s and will take place on a course ranging from 800 metres (for children aged 0-6 years) to 1,600 metres (for the 7-9 and 10-12 age groups).
