Treviso and Belluno Agricultural Consortium: Polegato confirmed as President

Treviso, July 4, 2025 – Giorgio Polegato has been confirmed as President of the Treviso and Belluno Agricultural Consortium. The appointment was made yesterday, Thursday, July 3, during the first meeting of the new Board of Directors.

In his third term, which will run until 2028, Polegato will be supported by Vice President Chiara Bortolas, former President of Coldiretti Belluno.

“I thank all the directors for their renewed trust,” commented Giorgio Polegato after his re-election. “Over the past three years, we have sought above all to address the issues that have arisen. Between wars, climate change, price volatility, and the political and financial crisis, the company is experiencing a period of great uncertainty, but we have managed to shield ourselves from the inevitable speculative actions by supporting our members and customers, including financially. Our task is not to profit but to support our entrepreneurs with concrete and immediate solutions. It hasn’t always been easy, but the results confirm that today the Consortium is truly the farmer’s home. This milestone was achieved thanks to a complex and exciting journey, which allows us to approach our new mandate with confidence.

The new Board of Directors features many confirmed members and a few new faces. This sign of continuity confirms that the Treviso and Belluno Agricultural Consortium will continue to be an essential point of reference for local agriculture, actively contributing to the region’s economic and social development.
