Woman art Expo at the Venice Film Festival hosted by the Veneto Region

After Cortina, the second stage of the travelling collection that will be at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti with Arte in Fiera and Arredamont from 28 October to 5 November

A bridge between the Dolomites and the lagoon, made of art, painting, sculpture. At the Venice Film Festival comes Woman art Expo, the second stage of the travelling exhibition that started in Cortina during the summer.
The exhibition in the sign of women continues on the Lido. The revisitation of a universal theme that has been addressed over the centuries in all artistic expressions and that in the setting of the Film Festival is manifested through photography, painting, engraving, weaving, mosaic and design. These artistic expressions will then be at the Barchessa di Villa Quaglia (Treviso) on the last stage, 22 September, before arriving at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti in the autumn (from 28 October to 5 November). Woman art Expo is in fact a sort of preview of Arredamont 2023, the mountain furnishing exhibition that this year will also host the 18th Arte in Fiera Dolomiti. And it becomes the best way to marry art with design, the artistic work with the furnishing object, the beautiful with the useful. It will be on display at the Hugo Pratt Library until 12 September.
“Woman art Expo wants to anticipate Arte in Fiera, through an exhibition that combines well-known and established artists with young and emerging artists in a very interesting mix.

At the Lido there are works by Angela Maria Scarparo, who also worked with Vedova, and does art weaving. There is Francesco Volpato, a master glassmaker who offers his sculptures. There are works by Ferruccio Gard, Franco Murer, and many others. All artists that we will meet again at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti.
Visitors to Arredamont will in fact find a true ‘avenue of art’, a route in stages that will tell the story of the dialogue between artistic works and the exhibition of mountain furniture.
“The route from the Dolomites to Venice has always been rich in exchange, culture and history. For Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, located geographically and culturally on this route, it is the golden road. And Woman art Expo, as well as Arredamont, are important stages,’ comments Michele Dal Farra, president of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti. “From the Dolomites to Venice, two Unesco jewels, passing through the Prosecco Hills and Treviso, where Woman art Expo will stop at the end of September. To then return to Longarone from 28 October to 5 November and celebrate the link between art and design in the mountain furnishing fair that is among the most eagerly awaited by the public”.

The Veneto Region was also present at the Woman art Expo with Councillor Cristiano Corazzari: ‘The Film Festival is an important showcase within which Longarone Fiere Dolomiti presents a sort of preview of Arredamont and Arte in Fiera. It is a way of enhancing the culture, art, and excellence of the Veneto region, on which the Region is relying heavily’.
