For an entire weekend Mel di Borgo Valbelluna is dressed in embroidery and lace. Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11, the seventh edition of the market exhibition “Dolomites in Embroidery” combined with the International Competition Dolomites in Embroidery, this year with a theme entitled “The Enchanted World of the Dolomites,” is scheduled to be held at the Palazzo delle Contesse.
The exhibition is dedicated to embroidery, lace, masterpieces of manual skills and artistic craftsmanship made by skilled hands and will see the participation of artisans in the sector and numerous high-quality exhibitors from all over Italy. The splendid setting of the Palazzo delle Contesse becomes a real atelier for two days: artistic embroidery, lace, cross-stitch and lace crafts, bobbin lace, macramé, tatting, yarn, artistic buttons … and much more! There will also be spaces dedicated to mini-courses where various embroidery techniques and other artistic specialties will be demonstrated and taught.
The event aims to promote the culture of embroidery and lace: precious and sophisticated, timeless arts that our days make increasingly rare because they require endless patience and a lot of time on our hands.
The exhibition, with free admission, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
