On Sunday 4 December, the castle of Cison di Valmarino opens its doors to Christmas with
the inauguration of “Christmas in Castle 2022”.
Cison di Valmarino (TV), – CastelBrando, the famous castle of Cison di Valmarino, in the province of Treviso,
inaugurates one of the most beloved periods of the year with a series of Christmas-themed exhibitions not to be missed.
The Teatro Tenda will host the Nativity of the Hills, created by the young artist Pietro Colmellere with
life-size characters made from wood cut during the maintenance of the surrounding forest.

There will also be spaces dedicated to the travelling exhibition ‘Water is life’ organised by the Ondablu company, the Canossian Institute of Feltre, the Associazione Gruppi Insieme si può and the Rotary Club of Belluno and Treviso Piave.
At the picturesque Church of San Martino, located inside the castle, you can also enjoy
an exhibition of painting and sculpture dedicated to the artist Antonio Lavina, who died in March this year, curated by the Associazione Tavolozza Trevigiana. The exhibition continues in the ancient rooms of the Donatello Lounge Bar.
It will be possible to take guided tours of the castle, real walks in time through the signs of different eras.
As a majestic backdrop, Italy’s largest living Christmas tree, which every year attracts thousands of
visitors, illuminating the valley below and providing a unique and evocative image.
