The appointment with tradition returns to Cavallino Treporti on June 10 and 11, 2023: the New Palio Remiero of the contrade and associations. Two days full of sports, local traditions, associations, music and culinary specialties of the area: this year nothing is missing!
From Saturday afternoon, the Cavallino Rowing Society will entertain guests with short caorlina rides for runners and spectators, in conjunction with the Sunset Run. Run participants and spectators will be welcomed at the finish line by the contrade of Ca’ Vio and Cavallino, with grilled meats and mouth-watering fish dishes! Throughout the evening Radio Piter Pan will enliven the square with DJ sets and music for all.
Sunday will be colored with the colors of the contrade as the rowing competitions kick off. In addition to the traditional men’s challenge on caorlina, starting with this edition there will be a women’s regatta on mascareta, each representing a local association. This will be followed by valesana rowing among the oar masters, the boys’ regatta on mascareta and the boys’ parade on canoe.
On land from 3 p.m. the Contrade and associations of the Litoral will entertain spectators by presenting themselves in their stands: tourism, agriculture, fishing, crafts and culture. Venetian-style boats will also be on display, with demonstrations of oar and fork construction, canoes and outboard marine engines. In the evening great music show, with disk jockey Alessandro Zanella and his dance troupe.
