In 2025, Jesolo will once again host a major exhibition dedicated to one of the greatest artists of the 20th century: Pablo Picasso. The exhibition, entitled “Loving Picasso”, will explore the most personal and emotional side of the Spanish artist, highlighting his long career and his innovative approach to art.
Theme of the Exhibition
“Loving Picasso” will focus on the concept of love in Picasso’s life and works, analyzing how his sentimental and relational experiences influenced his work. Picasso’s muses, such as Françoise Gilot, Dora Maar, and Jacqueline Roque, will be at the center of the exhibition, with works that reflect the influence these women had on his creative process. The artist’s most intimate side will also be explored, made of passion, suffering and joy, themes that are reflected in numerous iconic works.
The Works on Display
The exhibition will feature a selection of paintings, sculptures, lithographs and ceramics that demonstrate Picasso’s extraordinary versatility. There will also be works from his most famous periods, such as the Blue Period, the Rose Period and Cubism. Among the most emblematic works that could be exhibited are “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon”, “Guernica”, “The Bathers” and “La Vie”, works that tell the emotional complexity and stylistic evolution of the artist.
In addition, the exhibition will also focus on Picasso as a sculptor and ceramist, aspects that are sometimes overlooked compared to his pictorial production. His metal and ceramic sculptures, which often feature stylised and abstract forms, will show another dimension of his artistic work.
A Multimedia and Immersive Path
In 2025, Jesolo will also offer an exhibition enriched by a multimedia approach that will allow visitors to come into contact not only with Picasso’s works, but also with his personal and artistic history. Videos, projections and interactive installations will accompany visitors on an emotional journey, recounting Picasso’s life, his passions and his artistic evolution.
The use of immersive technologies will help create a more engaging experience, highlighting the emotional connection between the artist and his works. The use of augmented reality or viewers for visual experiences is also planned, allowing visitors to literally “enter” Picasso’s paintings, as a further immersion in his creative world.
