Pieve Incontra – 9th Edition in Pieve di Soligo
The Pieve Incontra cultural festival inaugurates its 9th edition, organized by Adriana Rasera and supported by the City of Pieve di Soligo, positioning itself as a privileged observatory on the major issues of our time. Under the guiding theme “Dialogues on the Future,” the event aims to explore current events through the voices of internationally renowned guests, capable of interpreting the geopolitical, social, and scientific challenges that define the present. The quality of the topics covered and the value of the testimonies make this event a consolidated cultural reference point, capable of attracting a large and attentive audience, combining intellectual reflection with the need to build bridges and new collective awareness.
March 19: Iran, Words and Wounds
The new season opens with Pegah Moshir Pour, an Italian-Iranian activist and writer, a key voice in the debate on human rights and women’s emancipation. At a time when global conflicts directly challenge our consciences, the event will be a profound dialogue on the responsibility to recount war and its wounds.
Pegah Moshir Pour’s talk will offer an intimate and authoritative perspective on the situation in Iran: from internal oppression to hopes for democracy, including the plight of political prisoners and women. Particular emphasis will be placed on the female perspective in crisis contexts, analyzing how the plight of a seemingly distant country is actually an integral part of our cultural and geopolitical horizon.
Through her experience as a “third culture kid” and her ongoing commitment to international awareness-raising, Pour will transform the pain of separation into a powerful civic testimony, inviting the audience to question the value of freedom and the need for active and inclusive citizenship.
