Riccardo Muti returns to the Verona's Arena after 41 years

Countdown, with some protagonists already arrived within the Scaliger walls, for the great day of the restart of Verona, next Saturday, June 19: symbolic date for our city, the day “when everything happens”.

And if certainly the “premiere” in the Arena will be a fundamental event on this special date, one week after his debut, yesterday, maestro Riccardo Muti was already in our city. In fact, Maestro Muti will go up on the Arena stage to direct an unmissable show in the form of a concert, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida. Muti returns to the Arena podium after 41 years. The stellar cast of the two evenings includes soprano Sonya Yoncheva for the first time in her career as Aida, Francesco Meli as Radamès, Anita Rachvelishvili as Amneris and Riccardo Zanellato as Ramfis.
