The Frog Festival takes place every year on the last two weekends of May in Santa Lucia di Piave (TV). It is the largest food and wine event in Italy for lovers of frog-based dishes.
You can taste recipes that are the result of years of experimentation in the kitchen by local chefs, who are connoisseurs of frog meat, such as the ‘Rana imperiale’, baked with tomato guazzetto and polenta, or risotto with frog pulp and frog tortelli dressed with butter and sage. Not missing from the menu is the fried frog, the one that is consumed the most.
