Verona’s iconic half marathon, the Juliet&Romeo Half Marathon, celebrates its 16th edition this year.
Running in Verona is a complete immersion in the history of this city of art, and the Juliet&Romeo Half Marathon becomes one of the most fascinating races in the world. The regulation 21 km route touches the most emblematic points of the city of Verona: the Arena, the Adige River, Piazza delle Erbe, Juliet’s house, Castelvecchio, Ponte Pietra, and Porta Borsari.
The race is included by the Italian Athletics Federation as part of the international calendar, as well as being qualified for many years as a Fidal Gold Label event.
The appointment is set for Sunday 12 February, Valentine’s Day weekend, with the start at 9.30 a.m.;. Both the start and finish will be in Piazzale Olimpia, in the area in front of the Bentegodi stadium.
Those who want to enjoy a walk or run in the city can choose the Monument Run, a competitive and non-competitive 10km (9.7km) route.
