On 31 March, a family show will be staged on the stage of the Ristori Theatre, reinterpreted in a totally original key, where the language of the musical and contemporary circus merge together in a new dimension.
A show suitable for the whole family… not to be missed! The brilliant fairy tale of ‘The Wizard of Oz’, based on the book by L. Frank Baum, is brought to the stage by a cast of 25 performers directed by Maxim Romanov and with original music by Andrei Zubets.
Little Dorothy is transported by a tornado to the land of Oz, where a very powerful wizard lives in the Emerald City.
Dorothy’s journey into the world of Oz is accompanied by three wacky companions: a scarecrow who wishes he had a brain, a tin woodsman who wishes he had a heart and a lion who wishes he was brave.
The cast consists of singers, dancers and some of the world’s leading acrobats of contemporary circus.
The extraordinary staging of the show is also enhanced by the original animation, 3D graphics, special effects and phantasmagorical costumes created by the Romanov Arena creative team.
