As part of the National Day “Walk among the olive trees” promoted by the National Association of the Cities of Oil, the Municipality of Asolo together with the Pro Loco of Asolo, organize the Walk among the Asolo Olive Trees.
The departure is scheduled for 9.30 in front of the Tourist Office of Asolo (Piazza Garibaldi), where the registration of participants will take place.
Taking us towards the medieval Rocca, we will continue along the fascinating staircase surrounded by olive groves and then in via Rocca. Among the changing views, we will arrive at the tasting stop of the extra virgin olive oil at the former Bellavista hotel, home of the Fratelli Botter farm. Here we will be welcomed and we will be explained the extraordinary qualities of the extra virgin olive oil of our hills and the delicacy of the cultivation and protection of the poetic olive trees.
We will resume the route towards the historic center where the walk will end among the stalls of typical products and crafts of the Fiera dei 100 Orizzonti. Along the way we will stop inside a private building where one of the oldest oil mills in Asolo still exists, no longer in operation but a reminder of the long tradition of love for this precious food that the village has carried on over the centuries.
