Veneto Tourism Strategic Plan 2025-2027 approved. Caner: “Innovation, Sustainability and Governance for a Tourism of Excellence”

“The Veneto Tourism Strategic Plan 2025-2027 plays a crucial role in defining the future of the destination, representing an integrated governance tool that guides the sustainable and competitive development of the sector. The plan, in fact, was developed through a participatory process that involved over 200 stakeholders, institutional representatives and sector organizations, ensuring a shared and cohesive vision. Everyone will be an active part and protagonist of the change, so that our tourism model becomes an integrated and sustainable system. The plan aims to consolidate Veneto as a leading tourist destination at a national and international level, promoting economic growth, employment and professional training, with a view to sustainability and adaptability.”.

This is how the Councilor for Tourism of the Veneto Region, Federico Caner, comments on the approval by the Regional Council of the Veneto Tourism Strategic Plan 2025-2027.

“Being an Open, Attentive, Active, Current Veneto is the path we want to take to support the growth of a mature tourism industry that needs investment and innovation to continue to be attractive and capable of facing future challenges with vision and concreteness – continues Caner -. The shared objective is to promote deseasonalization and sustainability as founding elements for a permanent tourism offer, through advanced territorial governance, which strengthens inclusiveness and integrates local communities. We will encourage innovation and collaboration between players in the sector through tools such as the Federated Regional Tourism Observatory without ever losing sight of the importance of communication and the enhancement of local identities”.

“The drafting of the Plan – concludes the Councilor for Tourism – is the result of the great teamwork coordinated in recent months with timeliness and professionalism by the officials of the Tourism Directorate, who together with the facilitators of the SL&A, have been able to share with operators and associations in the sector the ideas and the vision itself at the base of the Plan. I would also like to particularly thank the members of the control room, the chairpersons and all the participants at the tables, for having understood and shared the mission that we had set ourselves, actively contributing to the realization of the Plan that will accompany the future development of tourism in Veneto.”
