The new board of directors chaired by Caterina Carrer was presented: the goal is territorial synergies and the Olympics
First “Costruire” event from February 15, with the 20 years of “Arte in Fiera”
«Innovation and continuity are the two main characteristics. We are aware that it will be a difficult challenge that we have ahead of us, but we will give it our all, with the goal of relaunching Longarone Fiere Dolomiti on a national and international level». These are the words of Caterina Carrer, newly appointed president of Longarone Fiere Dolomiti, who today at a press conference presented the installation of the new board of directors. Together with her, the vice president, Franco Conzato, and the other board members: Michele Dal Farra (past president), Chiara Bortolas and Giovanni De Lorenzi, who has also been identified as the company’s CEO.
«The team is made up of different people but all very competent and ready to commit to the growth of the fair. We have ambitious projects that will continue the program developed so far and will also expand the objectives. Starting from the fact that today we organize six trade fair events and within a few years we intend to reach at least ten” said President Carrer. “This must not only be the Longarone fair, but the Veneto and beyond. It must have a strong international vocation, because the very location where it is located allows it: halfway between Venice and the Dolomites. And for this reason we will create synergy with other fairs”.
Talking about the Dolomites, the new board of directors has focused on the Olympic challenges, with Longarone Fiere that will have a special role, as a logistics hub. “We have just started the countdown to Milano Cortina 2026, which will represent a strategic showcase for Longarone – underlined past president Dal Farra -. A showcase that will make us known and make the fair a point of reference for the promotion of the territory. Today we know that for those heading to Cortina, around 3,000-4,000 cars must arrive at the fair, and 120 buses must leave. Fondazione Milano Cortina will have a pavilion for logistics offices. Our idea is to build an airport-type logic: the tourist parks his car, and while he waits for the shuttle to the Olympics he enters the fair and finds initial hospitality, including promotional and marketing spaces».
WE START WITH “COSTRUIRE”
Before the Olympics, however, there is a whole year. And there is a calendar of six trade fair events from now until autumn already defined. We start next weekend with “Costruire”, the fair dedicated to the mountain home system that will have five days (15-16 and 21-22-23 February). 113 brands from 8 Italian regions and 9 foreign countries (Austria, USA, Finland, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden and China). And a series of high-level insights and focuses for professionals. In fact, we will talk about work in construction, the wood supply chain, heating systems and much more. Attention will also be paid to the new features of the 2025 budget law (February 21st from 2:30 pm, curated by Appia Cna and the Permanent Unitary Committee of professional orders and colleges), a spotlight on welfare in construction with the experience of the construction fund (curated by Ance and Confindustria Belluno, February 22nd from 9 am), and on sustainable construction (February 22nd at 10:30 am, curated by Confartigianato Belluno).
ARTE IN FIERA DOLOMITI
“Costruire” has always been the natural setting within which “Arte in Fiera Dolomiti” fits in, which this year reaches its 20th edition. The title chosen this year is “Le mani perdute”, «suggested by Mauro Corona during a visit to last year’s edition» explains Franco Fonzo, the curator of the event. “The common thread will be to invite young people and adults to reflect on this forgotten dimension of doing, to rediscover the work of the hands in an increasingly digital society”.
The rich program of “Arte in Fiera”, which will start with the career award ceremony for the master of fresco Vico Calabrò. Then there will be space for various exhibitions (including painting and photography) and book presentations.
