The Arte Fiera Dolomiti exhibition will continue next weekend
Twenty years on one side, over fifty on the other. Double jubilee at Arte Fiera Dolomiti, the artistic exhibition combined with “Costruire”, the showcase of the mountain home and construction system, on stage at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti. The twenty years are those of Arte Fiera, born from the happy intuition of Franco Fonzo. The half century plus is instead the artistic parable of Vico Calabrò, undisputed master of fresco. And it was with Calabrò that Arte Fiera opened on Saturday, which wanted to honour the master with a prestigious award for his career.
TRANSMISSION OF KNOWLEDGE
«A prize for old age, more than a prize for his career» joked Calabrò, visibly moved to receive the recognition. «A life path that has allowed me to range across all the techniques of the painting profession. But perhaps the one I am most attached to is fresco».
In fact, Calabrò is one of the last great masters of an all-Italian art, which has in Giotto, Michelangelo, Mantegna – just to name a few – its historical reference points. Not the very last, however, because in these decades he has been able to transmit and pass on his know-how to young emerging talents.
During the days of Arte Fiera Dolomiti he is creating a fresco with his students, under the eyes of the visitors of the fair, who also today (Sunday 16 February) have shown great appreciation for the artistic exhibition.
ARTE FIERA
Arte Fiera Dolomiti has put in place the vast program of events. This morning the illustrated book “La Scacchiera sotto il Calicanto” by Giovanni Lorusso was presented. And a large chessboard is present at the fair available for those who want to try to checkmate.
Then there is the exhibition “Naturali armonie” by Elio Ciol, the exhibition “Momenti di fotografia spontaneo” by the Circolo Fotografico Casier, and the photography exhibition by Monica Garau and Stefano Cusumano.
Arte in Fiera Dolomiti, together with Costruire, is open continuously on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 7 pm and on Fridays from 2:30 pm to 7 pm.
