Twenty-three floats and groups in procession through the streets of the center on the afternoon of Shrove Tuesday. The direction of the parade changes: starting from Piazza Duomo and arriving in Piazzale Burchiellati and Borgo Mazzini. Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March (ecological day) shows in the squares with street artists, stilt walkers and dancers: the popular magician and YouTuber Jack Nobile will perform at the Loggia dei Cavalieri. The actor Miguel Gobbo Diaz (“Nero a metà”) will participate in the parade with the group “Yo Soy Dominicano Aquí y Allá”. Live on Antenna 3
The countdown has begun for the craziest and funniest party of the year: for three days – Saturday 1, Sunday 2 and Tuesday 4 March – Treviso becomes the city of Carnival, the spectacular setting for a three-day party that, in a riot of music and masks, confetti and streamers, will involve adults and children.
As per tradition, the capital of the Marca is preparing to welcome the parade of allegorical floats that, on the afternoon of Shrove Tuesday, will pass through the city center. Not only that: the last weekend of Carnival will be characterized by a long series of events for families, with special attention to the little ones. The creativity and imagination of street artists, stilt walkers and dancers will transform the city into an authentic open-air stage, where fun and imagination will reign supreme.
The event was officially presented today at Ca’ Sugana. “The Treviso Carnival – commented Mayor Mario Conte – is an extraordinary tradition that lights up our city every year with music and joy, uniting generations and communities in a great embrace of celebration. Thanks to the commitment of the Carnevali di Marca association, our Carnival is enriched with events and shows that involve adults and children, transforming the historic center into an open-air stage. A symbolic and evocative moment will also be the delivery of the keys of the city to King Carnival with the Treviso Folk Group, which will open the parade with its spirit of tradition and belonging. With street artists, shows and initiatives dedicated to families, Treviso once again confirms itself as a city that enhances its roots through events that unite, entertain and make everyone feel part of a great celebration”.

The Carnival parade, on the afternoon of Shrove Tuesday, will include 23 floats and groups. The parade will be opened by the Treviso Folk Group with the traditional King Carnival. Following, the Friends of Vintage Tractors of the Marca (theme: “The Tree of Wooden Clogs”), the group “Viva el paron dei peri” of Casella d’Asolo (“We are left in our underwear”), Le Sisters (“Hell or Heaven”), the parish group of Bocca di Strada and Santa Maria (“Disney 100+1”), the Energia in movimento dance school (“Grease-Brillantina”), the Youth group of San Giuseppe of Treviso (“Let’s go and color”), the Simpatia group of Musestre (“Italian Justice”), the cultural association “Yo Soy Dominicano Aquí y Allá” of the Dominican Republic (“Homage to the Dominican Merenghe”), the Friends of Ponte Crepaldo of Eraclea (“Not all experiments succeed with the hole”), the Contrada Santa Lucia of Castagnole (“Dutch Joy”), the Friends of the Carnival of Falzè (“The Pirates of the Carnival”), the Quei de Soligo Group (“Peter Pan and the crew of Soligo”), the Selva Carnival Committee (“The Court of King Carnival”), the CarnevaleInsieme Group of Signoressa (“Paw Patrol”), the Allegra Compagnia of Porcellengo (“Sushi in saor”), the Friends of Merlengo (“Chicchiri… who’s in charge here”), the 80s Kids of Lovadina (“The Rainbow Dragon and the Village of Clouds”), the Coriandolando group for Pieve di Soligo (“The Jungle Book”), the Allegria group of Maserada (“Let’s Season Together”), the San Giacomo Youth Group of Sala (“The Addams Family), the Colombere Committee of Cusignana (“Journey to the East”) and the Friends of Isiata (“The Spectacle of Nature”).
Two curiosities: the Youth Group of San Giuseppe of Treviso (“Let’s Color”), the only float in the city, is celebrating its twenty-fifth parade. While in the group of the cultural association “Yo Soy Dominicano Aquí y Allá” the actor Miguel Gobbo Diaz will also parade, one of the protagonists together with Claudio Amendola of the Rai 1 fiction “Nero a metà” and the Netflix series “Zero”.
The route of the floats, this year, will be reversed compared to the usual: the procession will start at 2.15 pm from Piazza Duomo, the parade – 1.5 km long – will then go down Via Canova, pass through Borgo Cavour and run along the city walls until it reaches the large Piazzale Burchiellati, where the jury’s stage will be located. The dismantling area of the floats will be located between the square and Borgo Mazzini. The quality jury, made up of professionals from Treviso with specific skills in art and entertainment, will be chaired by maestro Marco Varisco who will bring the trophies he designed and created to the stage to reward the best float and the best choreography.
To allow for the preparation and running of the parade, access to the city from Viale Cesare Battisti will be interrupted from 12 pm on Tuesday 4 March. Other traffic and parking restrictions will be defined in the coming days to allow a Mardi Gras parade in complete safety.
If Shrove Tuesday has always been the final and most anticipated moment of the Treviso Carnival, the festive atmosphere, as mentioned, will invade the city already from the weekend: Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March (ecological day), a long series of events will develop in the squares of the historic center.
The great protagonist of this edition of the Treviso Carnival will be Jack Nobile, professional magician and YouTuber (his channel has more than 1.5 million subscribers and over half a billion total views) who has been performing live magic shows all over the world for 12 years and teaches his art through the web, so much so that in 2019 he won the Moige award for the most educational YouTube channel in Italy. His shows will take place at the Loggia dei Cavalieri on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 March, at 3:30 pm, 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.
For the little ones, there will be traveling shows with the Barbamoccolo theater company and a set of thirty “old-fashioned” wooden games in Piazzetta Aldo Moro and Piazza Rinaldi, where on Sunday March 2nd the vote will also take place for the name of the official mascot of “Treviso Green Leaf – Città Verde d’Europa 2025”. The fox is looking for a name… and the choice will be up to the children, who will receive a fun and sustainable gadget on this occasion.
The parade of allegorical floats will be broadcast live by Antenna 3. The Carnevali di Marca association, chaired by Redo Bezzo, has been working for some time with the collaboration of the municipal offices and the Local Police of Treviso, to create an event that promises excitement and fun for young and old. For Carnevali di Marca it will also be the final moment of a 2025 edition that, through 21 parades and seven events for families, will involve, overall, over ninety floats and masked groups and about 9,000 participants. Updates on the Carnevali di Marca parades can be found on the website www.carnevalidimarca.it, on the association’s social channels and, for the Treviso events, on the new social page “Carnevale Trevigiano”.
