Ca’ del Poggio and Grammont, the twinning between the walls of great cycling is renewed. Waiting for the stage of May 25

The countdown has begun at the Tour of Flanders in view of the passage of the Corsa Rosa on the iconic climb of San Pietro di Feletto. Tuesday, April 15, at Ca’ del Poggio, the conference “Talent: recognizing and developing it” with the former international referee Daniele Orsato, the coach Luca Gotti, the cyclist Andrea Vendrame and the journalists of Sky Sport

San Pietro di Feletto (TV), April 10, 2025 – From Ca’ del Poggio to Grammont. The walls of Italy and Belgium confirm the twinning in the name of great cycling, in view of the most eagerly awaited event: the passage of the fifteenth stage of the Giro d’Italia that will pass on the iconic climb of San Pietro di Feletto on May 25, the third Sunday of the race of the 108th edition of the Giro d’Italia.

On the occasion of the Tour of Flanders, Alberto Stocco went to Belgium to renew the feeling of closeness that for several years has linked the Muro di Grammont to that of Ca’ del Poggio. On one side the most classic and never forgotten climb of the Tour of Flanders, on the other the climb through the Prosecco hills, which is preparing to welcome the eighth passage of the Giro d’Italia.

A moment strongly desired by the Veneto Region and in particular by President Zaia who sees the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio as a driving force in the promotion of the territory, the symbol of slow, sustainable tourism, which is easily identified with cycling.

As soon as he returned to San Pietro di Feletto, Stocco performed a symbolic ribbon cutting on the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio to mark the start of the countdown towards the return of the Corsa Rosa on the famous climb through the vineyards. At his side was also Poggy, the friendly mascot of the Muro, who on May 25 promises to entertain young and old.

For the Corsa Rosa, as mentioned, this will be the eighth passage on the Muro di Ca’ del Poggio, after the applause received with the 2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, 2022 and 2024 editions. Not only that, in 2025, the Giro d’Italia Women will also return to the Muro, having already passed through here in 2014 and 2017. The appointment is for July 9, and it will be another moment not to be missed for all cycling enthusiasts.

Exactly one year after the last time (it was May 25, 2024), the great pink celebration among the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is therefore ready to repeat itself with what can now rightfully be included among the most classic climbs of the Giro d’Italia.

The Muro di Ca’ del Poggio – the only climb officially certified by the Italian Cycling Federation, twinned since 2016 with the Muro di Grammont and since 2018 with the Mur-de-Bretagne, which in 2025 will host the finish of a stage of the Tour de France – has unique characteristics. It extends for just over a kilometer on an entirely asphalted road, with an average gradient of 15% and peaks of 19%. It is a decisive, almost violent climb, which also in 2025 is a candidate to be among the most spectacular and anticipated moments of the Giro d’Italia.

An authentic vertical spectacle (even if we are only just over 200 meters above sea level) that promises to recreate the magic of the twenty thousand or more enthusiasts who in recent editions – last year, in the rain – accompanied the passage of the riders through the vineyards.

Among the moments that will mark the approach to the stage of the Giro d’Italia on May 25th, there is also the conference entitled “Talent: recognizing and developing it” that on Tuesday, April 15th, at 8:30 pm, at Ca’ del Poggio, organized by the AIA section of Conegliano, will see the speeches of Daniele Orsato (former international referee), Luca Gotti (serie A coach), Andrea Vendrame (professional cyclist) and Sky Sport journalists Fabio Tavelli, Vittoria Orlando and Leo Turrini.

Previously, on Sunday, April 13th, at 8:30 pm, for “Parole in un vetro”, a traveling literary review in the territory of San Pietro di Feletto, Ca’ del Poggio will host the meeting with the writer, cartoonist, musician and radio host Gianluca Morozzi who will present his latest novel “Che fine ha fatto la neve”.
