Bad weather causes the cancellation of the parades in Carbonera and Ponte della Muda
(02.09.2025) Confetti, streamers, masks and papier-mâché giants. The magic of Carnival conquers the heart of Pieve di Soligo. While bad weather causes the cancellation of the parades in Carbonera and Ponte della Muda, in Pieve di Soligo – with uncertain weather, but without rain – the organizers estimated an attendance of 4 thousand people to frame the traditional parade of allegorical floats. The route started near the Cinema Careni and continued along Via Vaccari, until reaching Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The procession then continued to parade along Via Chisini and Viale degli Alpini, until heading once again towards the main square. The parade, also applauded by the mayor Stefano Soldan and the councilor Federico Fantin, was opened by the Gruppo Giovani Anni ’50 of Silea (theme: “The sea and its treasures). Then there is space for the Parish Group of Nervesa della Battaglia (“Dreaming of the Caribbean”), the Pastoral Unit Group Le Grazie di Don Walter (“The Minions”), the Cerletti Wine School (“A great wine is made in a big barrel”), the Friends of Levada Group (“Carnival in Rio”), the Allegra Comitiva di Bidasio of Nervesa della Battaglia (“Egypt our way”), the Pro Loco of Trevignano “Pochi ma boni” (“The jesters of the 21st century”), the Colombera Committee of Cusignana (“Journey to the East”), the Quei de Soligo Group (“Peter Pan and the crew of Soligo”), the Festeggiamenti association of Sernaglia della Battaglia (“Dreams in the drawer”), the Festeggiamenti Committee of San Rocco of Gaiarine (“Musica maestro”) and the Coriandolando Group for Pieve di Soligo (“The Jungle Book”).
THE SEASON OF CARNEVALI DI MARCA – The 2025 edition of Carnevali di Marca will continue, with the next weekend, in Soligo (February 15), Susegana (February 15), Giavera del Montello (February 16), Sernaglia della Battaglia (February 16), Mareno di Piave (February 16 family event), Villorba (February 16), San Vendemiano (February 22), Zero Branco (February 22), Santa Lucia di Piave (February 22 evening), Montebelluna (February 22 family events, February 23 parade), Breda di Piave (February 23 family event), Zenson di Piave (March 1 evening), Roncade (March 2), Vittorio Veneto (March 1 family events, March 2 parade), Conegliano (March 4) and Treviso (March 1 and 2 family events, March 4 parade).
CHARITY LOTTERY – The party, however, will not end here, because this year too, in the middle of Lent, there will be the last act of the Carnevali di Marca with the closing Gala that on Saturday 29 March at the oratory “Giovanni Paolo II” of San Vendemiano will also host the drawing of the tickets for the traditional Charity Lottery. The Carnevali di Marca association is not just masked floats, joy and confetti. In this festive period there is also the time and the desire to think about others, about those who perhaps are experiencing less happy and carefree moments. During the parades, it will be possible to buy lottery tickets at a cost of 2.50 euros, hoping for a lucky draw (the total prize pool is 25 thousand euros, the first prize will be a Peugeot 208 Style provided by Sarlo Group-Autogiada, the other prizes will be vouchers to spend at Toffolatti Gioielli stores and Maxì Spak supermarkets), knowing that in any case, for every ticket sold, 10 cents will be donated to local associations involved in social activities.
