The preview of “Diamanti” took place in Rome, the new film by Ferzan Ozpetek ready to return to the cinema starting tomorrow, December 19, with his fifteenth work that has as extraordinary protagonists 18 Italian actresses.

The exclusive screening took place in the presence of the entire cast, including Luisa Ranieri, Jasmine Trinca, Stefano Accorsi, Luca Barbarossa, Geppi Cucciari, Anna Ferzetti, Nicole Grimaudo, Vinicio Marchioni, Elena Sofia Ricci, Vanessa Scalera, Carla Signoris, Kasia Smutniak, Mara Venier, Milena Vukotic just to name a few, who together with the director and his selected guests celebrated the moment with the bewitching nuances and inebriating scent of another authentic Italian beauty, the Prosecco Doc Rosé Millesimato Brut di Ponte1948.
Set in the present and in the 70s, the film shot entirely in Rome tells the life stories and love stories of a group of women who revolve around a large cinema tailoring shop run by two sisters as different as they are connected.
A director calls his favorite actresses, those he has worked with and those he has loved. She wants to make a film about women but doesn’t reveal much: she observes them, takes inspiration, is inspired, until her imagination catapults them into another era, into a past where the noise of sewing machines fills a workplace managed and populated by women, where small men have marginal roles and cinema can be told from another point of view: that of custom. Between solitude, passions, anxieties, heartbreaking shortcomings and indissoluble bonds, reality and fiction interpenetrate, as do the lives of the actresses with those of the characters, competition with sisterhood, the visible with the invisible.
“Look at us. We are like ants, it seems like we don’t count for anything, but all together, all together…”
