DueRocche 2023: running over 2000 registered participants

The countdown is about to begin for the classic event, which on Tuesday 25 April will run over six distances, also offering an unprecedented 35 km route. Online registration open until 16 April

Cornuda (Treviso), 10 April 2023 – The pace is right: the Duerocche is preparing to launch the countdown to the 2023 edition, surpassing two thousand registered participants and confirming itself as one of the most eagerly awaited events of the spring running season.

Registrations will remain open, online, until 16 April. Then, for those races that have not yet reached the maximum number of participants, it will be possible to register at the race office, at the Palapace in Cornuda, which will be open from Saturday 22 to Tuesday 25 April, when the Duerocche will blow out its 52 candles, offering the richest technical programme ever: six races, from 6 to 51 km, with increasing gradients, suitable for a vast audience of enthusiasts, from the most demanding trail specialists to simple runners and amateur walkers.

For the 2023 edition, the Duerocche will propose a couple of interesting novelties. The first: the return to a single race day, Tuesday 25 April. The second: the introduction of a 35 km route, with 1800 metres of positive altitude difference, which will be added to the more traditional distance trials. The aim of the new race? To attract back to the start those athletes who are accustomed to competing over intermediate distances, those for whom 22 km risked being too little and 51 too much.

Summing up, the Treviso hills between Asolo and Cornuda will host six different trials this year. In addition to the new 35 km race, trail enthusiasts will be able to choose between two other competitive trials: the 51 km, with 2,660 metres of positive altitude difference, and the 22 km, with 960 metres of positive altitude difference. Also planned are the two classic cross-country routes of 6 and 12 km, open to all, and the 15 km trial with a positive height difference of 680 metres, which will take place along the route of the historic Duerocche, from Asolo to Cornuda.

It will be, as usual, a great spectacle, amidst breathtaking panoramas and historical glimpses, in which many of the best Italian specialists in running in the natural environment will participate. Start and finish are confirmed in Via della Pace in Cornuda.

The Duerocche, also this year, will have a limited number of participants: 300 in the 51 kilometre race, 400 in the 35 kilometre race, 600 in the 22 kilometre race, 400 in the Duerocche Storica and 4,200 in the two races open to all. The first to close registration will most probably be the Duerocche Storica, for which places are already starting to run out.

The registration fee, for the first time, is to some extent customisable: to the basic fee the athlete can in fact add the official t-shirt (or sweatshirt in the case of participants in the 51 km) and a voucher to attend the Pasta Party. All information on how to register can be found at www.duerocche.com. It will be a total immersion in the nature and landscapes of the Asolo hills. The Duerocche is preparing for another memorable edition. Appointment for Tuesday 25 April.
