On 26 May at the Auronzo mountain hut the finish line of the third-last stage, the queen stage of the pink race 2023: it will be possible to go up on foot or by bike
Auronzo di Cadore (Belluno), 9 May 2023 – On Friday, 26 May, the Giro d’Italia will propose one of the decisive stages, the Longarone – Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Auronzo refuge), 183 kilometres and 5,400 metres of altitude difference that will be one of the most spectacular moments of the pink race.
In view of the event, the stage committee and the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore have arranged, in collaboration with the Dolomiti Bus company, a shuttle bus service that will allow fans to be transported from Auronzo to Misurina and back.
There are 3,000 seats available for this service. Tickets can be purchased by downloading the Dolomiti Bus App ( https://dolomitibus.it/it/l/app-dolomiti/index ) until 20 May or until there are no more seats available.
The cost of the ticket is 15 Euro. The service will start at 8 a.m. on Friday 26 May and will continue without interruption until 12 noon. The outflow will begin after the transit of the “end of the line”, foreseeably not before 6 p.m., and will continue until the last person entitled to be transported.
There will be free, signposted and refilled car parks in Auronzo in the San Marco locality near the Villa Gregoriana, in the Val Marzon and Ospedaletti locality, in the Taiarezze locality near the ski lifts (for campers and coaches) and in the centre of Auronzo (Transacqua and Stadio del Ghiaccio area) where it will be possible to leave your vehicle.
With the exception of those who work or stay in Misurina, access with their own vehicles to Misurina and parking on the day of the event will not be allowed: this is for logistical reasons, considering that the spaces will be entirely at the disposal of the vehicles and facilities of Rcs, the organising company of the Giro d’Italia. Transit will be allowed according to the ordinances issued by the competent bodies and in any case until a few hours before the event. From Auronzo to Misurina it will still be possible to go up by bicycle.
The Tre Cime Road will be closed to all vehicles from Lago d’Antorno to the Auronzo Refuge already from Sunday 21st May 2023, as it is still a building site for securing the roadway and parking areas at high altitude, given the presence of large quantities of snow.
The Auronzo refuge (at an altitude of 2,333 metres), near which the finish line is located, can be reached on the day of the stage on foot or by bicycle.
