From Thursday 1st August, “aspiring grape harvesters” can sign up for the charity event scheduled for Sunday 8th September from 9am to 4pm at the Le Manzane winery (Treviso).

Reservations are now open for the 13th edition of the “®Solidarity Harvest – Celebration and Charity in the Land of Prosecco Superiore”. From Thursday 1st August, “aspiring grape harvesters” can sign up for the day of grape harvesting for charity scheduled for Sunday 8th September 2024, from 9am to 4pm, among the rows of Glera vines of the Le Manzane estate in S. Pietro di Feletto (Treviso) by writing an email to info@lemanzane.it. The proceeds will be donated to C’è Da Fare ETS (www.cedafare.org), the non-profit organization founded in 2023 by the popular Genoese actor and comedian Paolo Kessisoglu to fight youth distress by taking young people without a compass by the hand and gradually bringing them closer to life and everyday life.

Since 2012, Ernesto Balbinot and his wife Silvana Ceschin together with their children Marco and Anna have organized the ®Vendemia Solidale in the splendid setting of the Prosecco Superiore Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019. Hundreds of people every year contribute to the charity initiative by collecting bunches of grapes destined to produce the bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Docg personalized with the ®VENDEMMIA SOLIDALE 2024 label and sold in the pre-Christmas period. The ®Vendemia Solidale is a way to be together while doing good and this is the basis of the feeling that animates the many friends who are at the event.

This year the choice was to help the association C’è Da Fare ETS and support psychological and neuropsychiatric support projects for adolescents in difficulty. Although a worsening of the mental health conditions of subjects in developmental age was already evident before 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about a profound psychosocial change. At a national level, access to pediatric emergency departments has increased for causes of mental decompensation, such as suicidal ideation (+147%), depression (+115%), eating disorders (+78.4%), psychosis (+17.2%), self-harm (+27%) and social isolation (Hikikomori) with a consequent increase in hospitalizations for particularly serious situations (+39.5%).

It begins with the grape harvest, continues with visits to the cellar, live Italian music from the Fuori Orario Reunion band and Alberto Ceschin, some moments of entertainment for the little ones with the juggler/equilibrist Manuele Pascal, the test drive of Manzotti Automobili, the aperitif with Prosecco Superiore Docg Le Manzane, the products of the Distilleria Fratelli Brunello, also protagonists of a cocktail competition, and the delicious fish “cicchetti” from Ca’ del Poggio. Followed by a lottery with prize draw. The morning ends with a delicious snack in the “caneva”. Paolo Kessisoglu and his team of tireless cyclists will participate in the event.

The participation fee to take part in the event is 20 euros for adults and 10 euros for children aged 3 and over.

The hashtag to follow the event and give it visibility on social media is #®️VendemiaSolidale.

The Le Manzane winery is located in San Pietro di Feletto (Treviso), halfway between the Dolomites and Venice, in the hilly area of the province of Treviso, in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore Hills, proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 7 July 2019. The family-run company has been deeply rooted in the Treviso area as a producer for 40 years. The winery, one of the most dynamic and interesting in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine scene, distributes both in Italy and abroad, reaching over 30 countries.

C’è Da Fare ETS is a non-profit association, founded in 2023, from an idea by Paolo Kessisoglu, which is committed to breaking down the stigma of mental illness in adolescents. It designs and launches concrete projects, scalable throughout the country, that can take the hand of young people without a compass, gradually bringing them closer to life and everyday life. It collaborates with hospitals, UONPIA and other organizations able to provide support to adolescents and families in serious distress. It informs on the topic of mental health, launches structured fundraisers, creates events, sports and cultural initiatives to support the projects.
