Agrimont turns the spotlight on the world of bees. And it does so with an expert who is also a television personality. This is Paolo Fontana, entomologist of the Edmund Mach Foundation, who in recent days was a guest of Geo, a successful and historic Rai3 program, precisely to talk about bees, beekeeping and honey.
Beekeeping activities have always been one of the cornerstones of Agrimont, the national mountain agriculture fair taking place at Longarone Fiere Dolomiti on Friday 21, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March (for the second weekend of the fair). And they will be the focus of an in-depth study scheduled for Sunday 23 March at 9 am, when Paolo Fontana himself will talk about nutrition in beekeeping as a prevention for nosema. Furthermore, at the Apidolomiti stand, there will be practical demonstrations of beekeeping activities, while in the Apimarca spaces there will be a tasting tour of the local honey varieties.
WIGWAM
Saturday 22 (from 4 to 7 pm) there will also be the conference “The Wigwam space at Agrimont 2025”, organized by Wigwam Clubs Italia Aps. Efrem Tassinato will present and conduct the conference, with various themes in the spotlight: from the Camminando Festival in Borgo Valbelluna to the Val di Zoldo Mask School, from artisanal products made from hemp and ancient grains from the Belluno Dolomites to the history of the Piave raftsmen.
METEOROLOGY IN AGRICULTURE
Also interesting and innovative is the proposal dedicated to the weather scheduled for Saturday, March 22 (from 3 to 4 pm and from 4:30 to 5:30 pm) and Sunday, March 23 (from 9:30 to 10:30 am and from 11 to 12). “Discover how the weather will influence agriculture in Belluno” is the title of the course with Jacopo Bridda, meteorologist and community manager of Meteored Italia, promoted by Consorzio BIM Piave Belluno and InnovationLAB Dolomiti.
