The Sile Natural Park is a charming natural area where the river flows slowly through forests, meadows, and wetlands. Ideal for those seeking tranquility and beauty, the park is perfect for hiking, birdwatching, cycling, and also for canoeing. Here are eight route suggestions, with contacts for further information:

Sources and Upper Course of the Sile River: A guided tour on foot and by canoe to explore the Sile from its springs to the “Lago Superiore” in Quinto di Treviso, using the Canadian canoe, a unique tool for fully experiencing the magic of true nature immersion. Duration: approximately 6-8 hours.

Upper Course of the Sile River: A guided tour to visit the Sile River from Busa di Barbasso to the lake of Quinto di Treviso. Using the Canadian canoe, experience the magic of deep nature immersion with exciting encounters with wildlife and insights into the river’s vegetation and morphological dynamics. Duration: approximately 4 hours.

Middle Course of the Sile River: An easy route suitable for families, offering great satisfaction with a sense of total immersion in nature and interesting wildlife sightings as well as observations of the vegetation in the riverbed and on the banks. Duration: approximately 4 hours.

Paddling Among the Springs: Paddle downstream with rafting boats: this is how you reach the upper lake of Quinto di Treviso from the small town of Morgano, once a gravel pit, now an ideal environment for many aquatic birds. It’s an exciting journey through a green tunnel of crystal-clear water, wild bends, flowers, and animals thriving in their natural habitat. Duration: half a day.

On the Sile with an Air Bubble: Paddle to explore the Sile between Casier and Casale, feeling part of the river with a simple, essential, but above all safe and silent means! The tranquility, the flight of a mallard, a remnant of an old burcio, a mill, and a Venetian villa will accompany visitors on a day when the water will truly captivate them. It is also possible to do the tour at dawn or at night. Duration: half a day.

The Burci Route: Starting from Treviso with rafts, follow the route of the burci, old cargo barges that used to navigate tirelessly between the Sile and the lagoon. Pass through the Fiera port, the abandoned old mills, the Burci cemetery, a river bend where about twenty of these boats, abandoned there thirty years ago, are slowly decaying to become part of the river again. This descent is accompanied by tasty taverns, characteristic riverside towns, and unexpectedly beautiful nature views. Duration: full day.

From the Lagoon to Treviso: A great opportunity for everyone using a motorized boat. From Portegrandi to Treviso, retrace the old barcaris’ path, traveling the river from the gates of the Venice Lagoon to the center of Treviso. Duration: full day.

Cervara Marsh Excursion: Just beyond the Mill, along the main path of the Oasis, you will encounter the Cavana, the shelter for Pantane, the typical boats of the Sile. The economy of the marshlands has always been supported by intensive fishing activities, reed harvesting, and straw cutting. Today, thanks to their minimal impact on the ecosystem, the pantane allow visitors to experience the Cervara Marsh from a different perspective, with a pace and rhythm far from motorized civilization, revealing all its secrets and enchantments.
